Delicately handmade plate/ plaque consisting of Coppers, Silver Plate, Brass and other metals. This unique metal wall hanging is not labeled but is most likely the work of Hosny Gomaa of Eqypt (registered in Cairo as Silversmiths).

The details in the plate are fantastic. I believe it was made in the mid 1980's.

This plate features the Pharaoh Ramses riding a chariot hunting. With a Sphinx, some pyramids and an obelisk under the sun !!!

The Sphinx adores the sun - Ra, the supreme God according to ancient tradition.  It waits for it to return each day.  It is the Sphinx's adoration for the sun that causes it to rise out of itself, out of the earth from which it is made, to reach continually for the higher level of its being, called by the light.  This adoration causes the life within it to become holy and forever striving.
